As a member of Crash, Fire & Rescue in the Marine Corps, Kevin started his public safety career. After the Marines Kevin went to paramedic school and worked in his hometown of Headland, Alabama. He moved to Florida where he was hired by Brevard County Fire & Rescue in January 2001. As a firefighter/paramedic, Kevin is currently on the Haz-Mat and technical rescue team as well as a Field Evaluation Officer and EMS instructor. He is an adjunct instructor for the EMT and Paramedic program at Eastern Florida State College. His company Devil Dog Consulting teaches a variety of medical/trauma classes and also makes Bleeding Control Kits. Devil Dog Consulting has helped instruct over 800 law enforcement officers, military (reserves and active duty) and civilians in bleeding control and tactical medical classes. Kevin helped his department develop and train over 500 firefighters for active shooter situations.
